December of 1999 we added a Geodimeter Robotic Total Station to our instrument
inventory. In addition to flashing lights, whirring motors, and a
beeping data collector, this instrument collects topo data as fast as we
can walk or even drive (of course, obeying local traffic limits).
In
addition to collecting topo and site data, the robot has proven very
productive on the construction site for staking foundation points, road
