 Plisga & Day Land Surveyors operates with several generations of land surveyors. Most of our Professional Land Surveyors have grown up in the company from summer help jobs, to full time as surveying technicians and then advancing to land surveyors upon successful completion of experience and state testing requirements. Many of our surveyors have a degree from the University of Maine in Surveying Engineering or Surveying Engineering Technology. Surveying Technicians

Stevenson W. Sheppard, PLS

Shep’s experience includes subdivision and site development surveys, engineering, construction, and deformation surveys, 3D laser scanning surveys, hydrographic surveys, geodetic control surveys and GPS surveys for photogrammetric mapping and LiDAR. His work has ranged from small boundary surveys in urban areas to acreage verifications for remote woodlands covering thousands of acres, to large engineering surveys on a variety of commercial, residential, municipal and industrial sites, to geodetic and engineering surveys on right of way projects covering over a hundred miles. He has also managed and performed GPS surveys to extend high order, geodetic quality control and establish photocontrol points supporting two cycles of Maine’s 5-year Statewide Orthophoto program and associated Lidar surveys covering the state of Maine. Shep is, and has been, actively involved in several surveying and community organizations including the Maine Board of Licensure for Professional Land Surveyors, National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS), Maine Society of Land Surveyors (MSLS), the Industrial Advisory Committee for the Surveying Technology Program, University of Maine, and the Orono Economic Development Corporation. Shirley Southland

Bachelor of Science – Accounting – Husson College, Associates Degree – Business Management – University of Maine. Job duties include billings, timekeeping, client contacts, client requests, and maintaining office inventory. With our firm since 1995.

Sheryl Grimes

Joined firm in 2017, she is our primary receptionist handling communications and billing. Send Email
