Plisga & Day Land Surveyors operates with several generations of land surveyors. Most of our Professional Land Surveyors have grown up in the company from summer help jobs, to full time as surveying technicians and then advancing to land surveyors upon successful completion of experience and state testing requirements. Many of our surveyors have a degree from the University of Maine in Surveying Engineering or Surveying Engineering Technology. Surveying Technicians

Wade Smith, LSIT

Specializes in field procedures, construction layout, and CAD drafting. With our firm since 1989. L.S.I.T. 

Michael Davis

Since 2014 Mike has brought his years of National Guard training and experience to assist us with field procedures including robotic surveying and RTK GPS systems. Mike assists with CAD drafting and deed research. Send Email

HJ Hunter

HJ has been with the firm for many years before and after several years in the Army, serving in Afghanistan. Currently, he assists the firm in the field.

Shawn Mitchell, LSIT

Since graduating from the University of Maine in 2018, Shawn has been assisting Plisga & Day with fieldwork, research, least squares adjustments, contouring, and CAD. Shawn is familiar with and regularly uses our robotic total station, RTK GPS, and net rover GPS systems. He holds a Land Surveyor In Training certificate.

Office Management

Jeannette Roy

Controls office flow, manages accounts receivable and maintains office inventory. With the firm since 1982. 

Shirley Southland

Bachelor of Science – Accounting – Husson College, Associates Degree – Business Management – University of Maine. Job duties include billings, timekeeping, client contacts, client requests, and maintaining office inventory. With our firm since 1995.

Sheryl Grimes
